V.P. & Rules & Regulations-LESTER FIELDS- LESTERWFIELDS@YAHOO.COM

To make sure everyone know what supplements are legal and which ones aren’t we ask all of the lifters to take a look at the banned substance list at WADA WEBSITE to determine what is legal in the WNPF.

Many thanks to Nikoloz Saralidze (Georgia) and Gene Churumov (Ukraine) for organizing two GREAT events in Tbilisi, Georgia and in Kiev, Ukraine. These two gentlemen put on the first WNPF events in over 15 years outside the United States. They will be hosting events in 2012 in their countries also. Please check the results page for the results for both contests. We are looking forward to other WNPF meets in 2012 in some additional areas outside the U.S. stay tuned….

Here is what the WNPF will offer you……………………..

New Awards- Laser plaques, customized WNPF medals, Sculptures, Swords and for 2012, best lifter awards and Team awards at all meets.

BARLOAD & Computerized scoring system at most meets.

Monolift at some meets, Forza bench, Ivanko kilo and pound plates, Okie Deadlift bars, Quest bars and Ivanko Squat bars.

EXCELLENT Spotting by WNPF spotters…..

Quality judging for all lifters!!! We don’t allow high squats. Touch and go, uneven and non-locked out bench presses, non-locked out deadlift with knees bent and shoulders forward. Lifters say that we are strict, were not strict! We judge by the rules of the sport. When this is done we are compared to others and called STRICT. If you want loose judging and want all of your lifts passed by judges that are not properly trained or will pass your lift to keep you in their league or to post big numbers for their league then the WNPF is not for you. We judge every lifter the same from the first time novice lifters to the WNPF Elite. This is not to say that our judges don’t make mistakes but we are fair to each and every person that steps on our platform. If you want to lift in a legitimate Powerlifting league then the WNPF is for you.

We offer a well-organized event, friendly atmosphere and lots of fun. Our lifters and OFFICIALS support and cheer for one another. How many organizations have lifters like that?

Come on and join the WNPF or come out and watch one of our meets and let us know what you think.

2012 Stuff

The first of two tournaments will take place in February, 2012. The All-Raw World Tournament of Champions will take place beginning in Greenville, SC at Furman University and in Youngstown, OH. The second weekend the tournament will move to Orlando, FL and the final week will take place in Bordentown, NJ. In the final week is where all of the placings will be announced and all team and Best lifter awards will be announced. We will have lifters from the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, The Republic of Georgia, England and maybe Guatemala compete. The second tournament (WNPF National Tournament of Champions) will start on Sunday, July 1st in Atlanta and in the following weeks events will take place in July in Philadelphia, Penn- Youngstown, Oh- Plantation, FL & Rochester, NY. This is a way to get more lifters to compete by bringing the meet to YOU! This will make the meet more competitive and fun. We will not post any results until the tournament is complete this way there is not an advantage for any lifters that lift the first week. Please check the WNPF schedule for all dates for both tournaments.

The 2nd WNPF 600 lb challenge will take place on April 15, 2012 in Bordentown, NJ. The event in 2011 was a GREAT event with nine of the top deadlifters in the WNPF going at it on the same platform. The lights will be off, the music will be blasting and the LIFTING will be top notch.

We are working to have the 2012 WNPF Worlds in a Florida location at the end of October. If we cannot lock down a location soon the World meet will be in New Jersey in November.

We will start keeping Ironman total records starting in January 2012. Lifters will see more Ironman events in their areas in 2012.

Update-The WNPF has decided to keep the RAW division as is. We will not start a CLASSIC division in 2012, we do not want to water down the competition and the WNPF Raw division has been a strong point for the WNPF so no changes will occur.

Lifters that want to lift single and double ply will be grouped into the equipped division. Lifters will be allowed to lift with equipment up to two ply. We will continue to keep the records separate for the single ply and double ply in 2012 although the division will be known as equipped starting with the first event in 2012.

Update-There will be no changes in the age groups for the WNPF divisions in 2012. All divisions will remain the same.

In 2012 we will not require lifters to buy a WNPF LIFETIME card. As long as lifters are drug free for life you will be allowed to set or break records in WNPF LIFETIME and WNPF. Lifters that are not drug free for life can set records in the WNPF only. We have two meets scheduled for 2012 with the team LIFETIME, meaning you must be Lifetime drug free to enter these events. All lifters will compete in the WNPF but records can be set in either organization at any WNPF event. Lifters that are attempting to break these records must notify the official scorer before attempting the record.

The Monolift will not be used at all WNPF events in 2012. Some meet directors will not have access to a monolift. Therefore we will use hydraulic squat racks in the place of the monolift at some WNPF events.
